Thanks PUMA for handing BDS yet another fail

If you live in The Bay Area and want to thank PUMA for standing up to BDS then come shop at their store at the San Francisco Premium Outlets in Livermore. If you go on the weekend just get there early it's the only shopping outlets center I've ever known to have valet parking that's how crazy busy it gets there.

You didn't think I was gonna forget to post a photo of a ZIM cargo container full of Israeli goodies here in The Bay Area did you?

November 20th Update: As you can see, just because the game ended in a 2 to 2 tie that doesn't mean that there wasn't a winner (Israel) and loser (BDS) yesterday.

Castro Valley Trader Joes
December 20th Update: By now most of you no doubt have heard about the latest Trader Joes BDS campaign fail over Israeli Feta cheese of all things. Keep in mind BDS has had a really shitty year and are now really desperate for anything they can claim as a "victory" as 2019 comes to a close.

Be sure to dress for the part if you're going to the Israeli embassy in Washington DC

Just got back from a vacation in Baltimore. While there I wen to DC a couple of times and made sure to stop at the Israeli embassy where by a small miracle i was able to sweet talk one of the personal there to take my iphone and take a photo of me.

September 25 Update: Meanwhile back in The San Francisco Bay Area there's no sign of BDS winning anything when it comes to the real. World here's some of what I saw yesterday alone in and around The port of Oakland.

October 6 Update: I like how The Castro Valley Forum used and Israeli flag instead of just a star of David.

The sweet taste of BDS FAIL

A friend of mine in Israel told me after the first time I found these chocolate hazelnut wafers (Manamim Metzopit found in certain specialty delis and groceries) here in the U.S. that these weren't considered to be top of the line desserts in Israel. But I don't care, they taste good to me and the back of the box reads "Product of Israel" which always leaves a foul taste in the mouths BDSholes. Money well spent!

And on something of a side note. Bamba, one of my favorite Israel snacks still readily found at your local Trader Joe's. Just as a reminder, years ago those BDSholes went after Trader Joes here in California. It completely back fired on them. Not only did Trader Joe's refuse to stop carrying Israeli products but they also saw an bump in sales. It was a beautiful BDS fail.

As BDS keeps on failing ZIM keeps on truckn in The S.F. Bay Area

Eric Swalwell vs barbara lee on anti BDS resolution 246 in the pages of The Castro Valley Forum

Castro Valley Forum Newspaper issue 30 July 31st 2019

This week's issue of The Castro Valley Forum printed my letter. It pretty much speaks for it's self. Just in case you didn't know yet the resolution passed by a very wide margin.

I'm going to pivot to another part of The West Coast when it comes to all thing BDS fail. I just recently got back from a trip to Seattle. I grabbed this visitor's guide for some lite reading for the flight back home but I wish I had taken a closer look at it while I was still in Seattle. I would have certainly made a point to stop at Aviv Hummus Bar while I was there so I guess I'll have to wait till next time. But it's nice to see the ad in the visitor's guide just the same as it was to see ZIM cargo containers at the port of Seattle.

BDS fails are all around us from the halls of Washington D.C. to The Great Pacific Northwest and down to The San Francisco Bay Area.

August 2nd Update: Red Sea Diving Resort staring Chris Evans who plays a Mossad agent instead of Captain America this time finally showed up on NetFlix in the past few days. The movie tells the story of Israel's operation to save Ethiopian Jews from genocide in war torn Sudan. I finished the movie last night and I enjoyed it despite the mediocre reviews it's gotten. It doesn't have the edge of your seat thrills and tension to the degree that Munich does or other Middle East dramas like The Kingdom or Argo. But it does have a clear cut story line and narrative with out getting bogged down in any convoluted mixed messaging as did 17 Days in Entebbe. Evans is compelling in his role and supported by a good cast. Not a great movie per se but over all still not bad either especially for a NetFlix original film check it out.

Chris Evans as Mossad agent Ari Levinson
Clearly NetFlix does not support BDS. Can't wait for season 3 of Fauda to come out!

Israel is every where in The Bay

One would think a bus stop advertisement like this would only be seen in a city in Israel like Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. But not so, I took this photo in San Jose of all places. The most peculiar thing about this is that it's all completely in Hebrew, not a single word in English.

And meanwhile back in The East Bay ZIM keeps on trucking.

Bay Area public El Al airline advertisements

This freeway billboard might as well just say BDS Fail.
San Francisco International

San Francisco International

San Leandro

El Al is flying in the Bay Area skies, ZIM is trucking through Bay Area roads and BDS just keeps on failing. All is well : )

El Cerrito
March 25th Update: Went to a Burgerim for the first time today. Awesome sliders you can customize and I loved their potato chip style fries. The one I went to today was in El Cerrito but there's already a few others in The Bay Area with even more coming later this year thank you Tel Aviv.

From San Francisco to Tel Aviv in style meet the new Haifa dreamliner

Despite my love/hate relationship with San Francisco I still think this is pretty cool. Even a small "BDS fail" tag line some where on that fuselage art might have been a nice touch though.... to https://www.jpost.com/Israel-News/El-Al-plane-decorated-for-new-flight-to-San-Francisco-Las-Vegas-588057

On a side note, Avengers fans in Israel came up with a great way to entertain the audience waiting for the movie start time. The movie was nothing less then epic by the way go see it now!

Meanwhile, ZIM keeps on truckin as BDS keeps on failing.

With locations in Palo Alto and San Francisco, Oren's Hummus is a great Israeli owned restaurant for both take out and dining.

East Bay Express March 20 to 26 issue 2019 Eric Swalwell on Israel

And as always, ZIM keeps on truckin while BDS keeps on failing around The Bay Area.

Meanwhile in Southern California, bravo to all the people who came out to protest against the anti-semitic she-wolf ilan omar who gave a speech for some stupid event hosted by the muslim brotherhood front commonly known as cair. . .

Amen to that!

Update April 9th: Well look what just showed up in the mail today. I'd be more happy about this if the democratic field wasn't so damn crowded already but that won't stop me from going to Dublin this Sunday afternoon.

Guess who's from Castro Valley?

Gonna steer away from politics for this posting over something rather interesting that I discovered yesterday. As it so happens I was at the Unites States Men's National Team match against Costa Rica at Avaya Stadium this past weekend. I also typically go to at least a couple of San Jose Earthquakes games a year so I was pleased when I noticed that Earthquake's defender Nick Lima was on the field for the US men's team against Costa Rica. It turns out he's also from the town I grew up, way cool.

February 15th Update: Meanwhile, BDS keeps failing while ZIM keeps on trucking. In other words, business as usual around here.

ZIM today

I got some great shots today of a ZIM cargo container passing Oracle Arena on 880 and leaving BDS in the dust.

The immortal dragon, Bruce Lee
Gonna off topic for a moment here. While I was in Oakland yesterday I also got a shot of this fantastic mural. Its a pity that many people still don't know that Oakland is host to the most amazing variety of murals in The San Francisco Bay Area.

January 27 Update: Saw this Captain America kippah today in downtown Oakland during Kamala Harris's presidential campaign kick off rally. Chris Evans who plays Captain America is going to be starring in a movie later this year in which he plays a Mossad agent so unlike his idiot costar mark ruffalo I like to believe Evans has a more favorable and rational opinion of the state of Israel.
